Several years ago, the agency I worked for lost a major client – due to this, I lost my job. And I was not the only one, since back then a lot of agencies lost clients or the account clients turned into project clients and that meant to keep the agency structure lean and efficient, people had to go. Instead of complaining I teamed with Detlef Overmann, a photographer and mate of mine, and we made this book, depicting recently fired Art Directors. Each Art Director was portrait on a spread, followed by a spread where came a spread on which each AD could present himself. And the end of the book was an index with the names and the accompanying contacts. The book had a circulation of 1000 and was sent to agencies germany wide. All Art Directors shown in the book found a job, due to the book.
